We've stumbled across a few few places that are so rich in information that we encourage you to look at the site - and don't miss a word. Each of these sites are unique in what they bring. This blog is from Canada, so a lot of information about insurance and other issues is different for us in the states, but what makes it fascinating is that the writer is a vegan ostomate. He runs a successful youtube channel and has tons of followers, posting new information all the time.

Of course, we have to include the website for the United Ostomy Associates of America (UOAA). This site offers comprehensive education, interactive forums and ostomy support group information. The Phoenix is an online and print magazine offered by the UOAA, and you can subscribe through the site and check out previous issues.

With much press and multiple awards, this blog has grown from the story of founder Jessica Grossman's life post-ostomy to an actual online magazine with a stable of writers. Full of health tips and life stories, they are asking for articles from you too.

Inspire is an organization that provides forums for people undergoing medical conditions. You can get real time advice from the groups, with topics as diverse as bathing to traveling. Supply recall questions and information also appear on the forums.

There are some very positive places on the web to get information, especially when you are feeling overwhelmed. And while none of it replaces your physician's advice, it really helps to feel that sense of community when you have medical challenges. We hope you explore these choices, but as always, call us with any questions and we will do our best to get you answers.
